I Am Alive!!!

I am finally emerging from the longest sickness on the history of this earth!!! I had a fever and a terrible cough which was apparently caused by an ear infection...the fever went away after 2 weeks but i am now in the 3rd week and the cough isn't completely gone which stinks cause school starts in 2 days but oh well! I totally thought I was gonna die! Soooooo i am very glad I am alive!!!!
In the middle of all this sickness my mom decided to switch around the bedrooms in the house so I have my own room now!!! haha nobody wanted to share a room with me since I have to get up at 5 for seminary! Well that's it for now! Ill tell ya if I die at high school later;)

Quote of the Day
Okay so I couldn't find an amazing quote that goes along with this post so I'm just gonna give you one of my all time favorites:)
"If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I'd never have to live without you."

Girls Camp!!!!!!!!

I just got home from Girls Camp!!!!!! It was soooooo amazing!!! I have to admit I am very glad I am home to my warm bed, hot shower, and clean socks but I had one of the best weeks of my life! And yes I did mean clean socks. I sadly ran out of them the 3rd day and was forced to wear dirty ones for several year I'm bringing like 50 pairs so that doesn't happen:)

So this year I brought Robin with me! Everyone absolutely loved her and she had a great time! Hehe we listened to Lady gaga on the way up to camp (Poker Face, Telephone) and so all week Me, Robin, Lizz, Toria, and Brina had it stuck in our heads and so we kept breaking out into those songs...It was pretty hilarious:D Me and Robin were in the Teepee called the WOW girls (Word Of Wisdom) and we had an amazing teepee mom, not so much on the ycls but oh well! We had 4 other fantastic girls in our teepee with us and we bonded with them!

Robin was awesome at making up cheers! She either completely wrote or helped write every single cheer!

I got to ride horses for the first time! It was so much fun and the girls in charge said I had good posture while riding! hehe my horses name was Harry and he kept trying to eat stuff from the trees and stuff which was annoying but me and him are friends now cause I talked to him the whole time while I was on him (those who know me, cant you imagine me riding a horse through the woods at like 1 mile an hour and having conversations with him? ;)

Saturday morning wasn't as amazing...Paige (my little sis) woke up throwing up and had a fever for a couple hours and her friend Olivia also did. Olivia actually didn't stop throwing up for hours, Paige luckily only threw up once right when she woke up...Well shes getting better now that shes home! So everythings good:)

Oooh! I did the Polar dip of course! Me and Lizz held hands and sprinted in and just really quickly dunked, I dunked 5 times, I think she dunked 3, and then we sprinted right out again! Haha its no where near what I did last year (me and Brina did it 35 times) but still awesome!

Okay so on the car ride home we went with Brina's mom and filled up the car! It was Me, Robin, Lizz, Sara, Becca, Brina, and Toria! We stopped at a Mcdonalds on the way back and stayed for like an hour eating food and singing camp songs extremely loud! haha we were afraid they were gonna kick us out...That would of been pretty excitinf though! Mom: "So what was your favorite part of camp?" Me: "Getting kicked out of McDonald's!!!" Mom: "???" hahaha I make myself laugh sometimes;)

Well when I got home me, Robin, and Paige told my mom tons of stories and sang her cheers and camp songs until Robin had to leave:(

And then I took an extremely long shower and bubble bath!!! I was so excited that I smell good again! But kinda sad cause what I thought was a tan actually was just dirt, and so my tan washed off...hehe:) Well that's my week for ya!

Quote of the Day!
So today's Quote really has nothing to do with the post haha but I couldn't think of one that had anything to do with it so I just chose one of my favorites:)
"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp.
I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someones garden.
I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Okay so i found this song and it just made me happy:) Its called Princes and Frogs by SuperChick and you can listen to it here...haha I have nothing else to share with you, sorry :D

Quote of the Day

All princes start as frogs and all gentlemen as dogs
Just wait till its plain to see
What we're growing up to be
Cause Some frogs will still be frogs
And Some dogs will still be dogs
Some boys could become men
Just don't kiss us 'til then.

Here we go AGAIN.

Okay I'm gonna give you a little bit of background for this post...
3 years ago my parents went on Trek. Trek is a pioneer camp my church does. On the last day they were there my mom stepped in a gopher hole and broke her ankle. It completely snapped. I'm not going to give you details but she ended up having surgery on it about a year later, that whole year she was either off her foot or in a boot, it was super hard...well she had surgery and then was off her foot again for 6 weeks and was in the boot for several months. We were so excited the day she took off her boot! It was amazing!!! 3 days later she stepped on a sewing needle on the floor and it broke off in her other foot (not the foot with the surgery) The needle completely disappeared in her foot and she had to have major surgery to get it out it was so deep in her foot. Because of the surgery she was off her foot again for 6 weeks...To this day she has has had daily pain from both her feet because of these surgery's, just a few months ago she started physical therapy to try and get both of the healed and back to normal.

Well there is the background you needed. Now here's what happened yesterday...Yesterday my mom was walking outside and she somehow tripped and fell. It was terrible, she couldn't move and she just kept sobbing "No, not again. No, no, no. Not again." She knew something was seriously wrong with her ankle (the one that got the needle stuck). Luckily we had a friend over who's dad is a foot doctor so he called his dad and he came over and looked at it. He told my dad that she needed to go to the doctor and get it x-rayed, so they slowly got my mom out to the car and they got her to the doctors. The walk-in-clinic was of course as stupid as ever and did not do a good job but oh well. All we know right now is that her ankle has a 4th degree sprain, which is the worst you can get without it breaking. We are so grateful its not broken but its still terrible. Now I will tell you the super freaky part. As you know yesterday was July 10th 2010. It was July 10th 2007 that she broke her other ankle. Which means that she broke her ankle on the 3 year anniversary of breaking the other one...isn't that just plain freaky?!? Well theres the dramatics of my day for ya:(

Quote of the Day
This is my theme scripture from EFY and Youth Conference that I just got home from...this scripture is so perfect for what I'm going through I am amazed. I don't know how I would have handled this if I hadn't been focusing on this the past few weeks.
"Be strong and of a good courage. be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed. For the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest." -Joshua 1:9

Okay, so before I start on my EFY stuff I'm gonna do my post on Eclipse:) Eclipse was amazing!!! Edward is finally the prince charming I always imagined him as! And Jacob is finally the guy I hated in the books! haha;) Bella even did awesome...They followed the plot pretty well and it had all the scenes that I was so excited for in it. I LOVED Jasper! He was just plain awesome...I even thought the new Victoria did great...the only negative thing I have about it was there was too much making out with way too many couples but I think everyone expected that. Besides that, I am amazed at how awesome it turned out and I am really hoping Breaking Dawn is just as good:)
Quote of the Day
"I kissed Bella. Then she broke her hand, punching my face... total misunderstanding."
-Eclipse, Jacob Black to Charlie Swan
hahaha! Oh my gosh I love this line! He said it sooooooo perfectly!

I just got home from EFY!!!!!! It was the most amazing week of my life!!! One post would be impossible to fit everything...I made my own little family there (pictures later) I have 10 new brothers and 9 new sisters and an efy mommy and daddy:) It was really hard to say goodbye this morning:( well I will post more later!

Quote of the Day
One of the girls in my group said this during a discussion and I really liked it:)

"We are all princesses and we have our princes waiting for us somewhere so we can all become queens"

Best Friends

I don't really have an explanation for this post. I just feel very grateful right now that I have people there for me, that they are there at a moments notice to cheer me up:)
Quotes of the Day!

Life is an awful, ugly place to not have a best friend.

When you're in jail, a good friend will be trying to bail you out. A best friend will be in the cell next to you saying, 'Wow, that was fun!'.

True friends are very difficult to find, hard to leave, and impossible to forget.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.

Because you mean a lot to me, when you cry, ill cry, when you laugh, ill laugh, when you jump out a window, ill laugh again;)

A friend is someone who can look at you when you have the biggest smile on your face and still tell something is wrong.

Letters To Juliet

Me and my friend Brie went to see Letters To Juliet the other day...I went in expecting a super cheesy, annoying romance that I wouldn't like. But I actually loved it!!! I'm not saying it didn't have its cheesy moments, but it was just enough to make it funnier instead of annoying. The adventure the characters went on was realistic and connectible and I totally teared up like 5 times:) Plus the main characters are beautiful! haha;) I was really amazed at the actress who played Claire... She was gorgeous in her own way. No botox, hardly any makeup. And her character was very confident and funny. It made me happy to watch her.. Well I'm excited to see it again this weekend and I totally recommend it!

Quote of the Day!
This is basically the theme of the movie and Claire reads it in a letter towards the end...its one of
my favorite moments and it totally made me cry:)
"What, and if. Those two words standing alone are basically harmless, but link them together and those two words possess great power. What if?"

How To Train Your Dragon!!!

I saw How To Train Your Dragon twice in the past week! Once with my buddies Toria, Lisha, and Topher (yes those are their nicknames not their real ones;) and a couple days later with my family and mindee and eddie. It is an AMAZING movie! It is hilarious, has a great plot, and the animation is spectacular! I would recomend it for anyone, kids or adults:) I also want to go see The Last Song...if anyone has already seen it can you comment and tell me how you liked it? Thanks!

Quotes Of The Day!

Thank you for nothing, you useless reptile. -Hiccup

Gobber: If you ever want to get out there to fight dragons... You need to stop all... this.
Hiccup: But... you just pointed to all of me.
Gobber: Yes... That's it... Stop being all of you!

The Maze Runner

Last week, my buddy Jesse forced me to read this book called The Maze Runner...he said it was ridiculously addicting and I just had to read it...Well he was totally right! I read it in 2 days, the beginning was just like any ol' book so I spent a day reading about the first 100 pages. The second day I got to the addicting part at when I usually go to bed and read it straight through the last 300 pages to the end! It was an amazing book but Iv got to say that it kinda freaked me out, I'm pretty sure I had a couple nightmares about it:) But it was because the author is so good at what he does, he described the creatures in this story so well that I have a terribly accurate image stuck in my brain...I bet that its his goal in life for people (that rarely have nightmares about books or movies) to have a nightmare about his writing! I never want to meet this guy though! The fact that his mind can make up this plot and creatures is disgusting, and although I'm glad he did because I love it, I'm completely scared of him! Again, it is an amazing book and I would recommend it to anyone, boys and girls, as long as you aren't deathly afraid of scary creatures:) Oh and if you have read The Hunger Games (another amazing book) you will definitely love this!!!
So for the Quote of the Day today I spent a long time deciding if I would put a couple really hilarious quotes or really serious plot changing quotes from the book...I went with the serious ones because those tell you a little tiny bit about the book!

Quotes of the Day!
"My name is Thomas, he thought
That...that was the only thing he could remember about his life....he didn't know where he came from, or how he'd gotten inside the dark lift, or who his parents were. He didn't even know his last name."

"The walls slammed shut behind him, the echo of its boom bouncing off the ivy-covered stone like mad laughter"
-The Maze Runner, James Dashner

Im 14!!!

Yesterday was my 14th Birthday!!! I had a fantastic day! In the morning I came upstairs to a table full of presents, I got to open one which had an amazing shirt in it that I wore to church with the skirt that I had just finished making...After I unwrapped It my mom made me re wrap the box because she said the box balanced out the table perfectly;) When I got to church I had my Bishops interview...It was really fun. We talked about Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and Lord of the Rings most of the time:) My miamaids teacher brought in yummy cupcakes to class too:) After church I came home and I was surprised with 2 of my favorite families their for dinner, we had a mini thanksgiving meal and when we were about to start opening presents someone started feeling sick and actually ended up throwing up. So their family left pretty quickly...Present time! I got a bottle of vanilla scented lotion and bubble bath from Mindy B. A twix bar and an awesome necklace from Jesse he actually made the beads somehow from clay and baked them! A puzzle book, bubble wand, and twix bars from Paige. Some coupons from Lilly for a free spa day. Some super cool knee length socks from Sam and Sarah. A coupon from Mindee and Eddie promising that they will buy me the New Moon Collectors Edition when it comes out on DVD next week! And I got an SD card for my phone and an amazing turquoise purse from my parents! Right when I finished opening presents my best bud Victoria dropped by to give me a really cute cake and a bag full of candy;) Toria, her bro, and her mom stayed for cake! My cake was fantastic! My mom and Mindee V. made was an ice cream cake with Oreo ice cream and chocolate/vanilla swirl cake with snicker bars on top! It was yummiful:) Well there is my day! I will post pictures later!

Apollo and his Awesomeness (and is that a word?)

Im still in my Percy Jackson phase;) So todays quote is from the book in the series that my mom is reading aloud to us! Apollo is one of my favorite characters (who couldnt love the Sun God?!?) but oh how I love Percy...
Quote of the Day

""I feel a haiku coming on." Apollo cleared his throat and held up one hand dramatically.

'Green grass breaks through snow
Artemis pleads for my help
I am so cool.'

"That last line was only four syllables," Artemis said.

Apollo frowned. "Was it?"

"Yes. What about, 'I am so big-headed'?"

"No, no, that's six syllables. Hmm." He started muttering to himself.

Zoe Nightshade turned to us. "Lord Apollo has been going through this haiku phase ever since he visited Japan. 'Tis not as bad as the time he visited Limerick. If I'd had to hear one more poem that started with, 'There was once a goddess from Sparta--"

"I've got it!" Apollo announced. "'I am so awesome'. That's five syllables!" He bowed, looking very pleased with himself. "

Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief!!!

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief came out on Thursday/Friday at Midnight!!! I went to the Midnight showing with 21 other people! 16 people from my church and 5 from school! It was ridiculous amounts of fun! We took up 3 rows and the other people in the theater probably wanted to murder us because we were so loud;)
I actually really liked the was nothing like the book, which was sad and good at the same time...if it had actually followed the book I would have been really nit picky and found a lot of bad things about it. But since it wasn't anything like the book I just watched it as a totally different thing and really enjoyed it! Percy and Poseidon are 2 of the most beautiful people on this Earth!!! I just want to look at them for forever! ;)

This is my favorite movie poster...its actually the same picture as the cover of the book except with Logan instead of a drawing:)

Here is our 3 main hero's!!! Percy (as Beautiful as always;), Annabeth, and Grover!

Here is Poseidon! I know this isn't a photo from the movie but they haven't released any of him yet sadly. Isn't he just delicious?:)

Here is another picture of Percy and Annabeth (I couldn't help myself) They are both beautiful!

Here is Grover! He was hilarious!!! I love him too!

Quote of the Day:

This quote is from the book not the movie but oh well

"Hades raised an eyebrow. When he sat forward in his throne, shadowy faces appeared in the folds of his black robes, faces of torment,as if the garment was stitched of trapped souls from the Fields of Punishment, trying to get out. The ADHD part of me wondered, off-task, whether the rest of his clothes were made the same way. What horrible things would you have to do in your life to get woven into Hades' underwear?"

Star Trek!

Sadly, I was sick on sunday:(
But, me and my mom watched the new Star Trek movie! My mom saw it several times in the theater but I had never seen it...I loved it!!! Its my new favorite movie! I didnt think I would like it, since I had never seen the original Star Trek series. But I did! I couldnt believe how quick they zoomed into the story at the the first 5 minutes of the movie I yelped, laughed, and cried...So here is one of my favorite quotes from the movie! I was crying and laughing at the time...
Quote of the Day
George Kirk: What are we going to call him?
Winona Kirk: We could name him after your father.
George Kirk: Tiberius? You kidding me? No, that's the worst. Let's name him after your dad. Let's call him Jim.
