Missions and Study Abroad

I dont know how my mom did it, but she managed to cram A LOT of stuff into her life experiences before she got married! To name a few: Nanny in New York for a year, Study Abroad to Israel, and a Mission for our church to Winnepeg Canada for almost 2 years! And thats just a few! Well, she has a box that she had my dad go find the other day that has everything from when she was in Israel and on her mission! It has scrapbooks, notes, pictures, letters, cards, trinkets, journals, certificates, manuals, maps, and a lot of memories! So, me being the curious person I am and wanting to hear stories:) I dumped out the box and organized everything into piles! Along the way, I asked tons of questions! "Who is that? Where are you? What?" And every time, my mom would answer my question and tell me a story to go along with the person, place, or thing I was curious about! It made me so happy!!! I now have organized the whole box, and half of the letters! The letters are SOOOOO much fun to read! Some of them I cant read (because I cant read their handwriting) but the ones I can are hilarious!:) I probably know more about these complete strangers than there own children do!:)
Okay, thats it for now!

Quote of the Day

"You don't know me; you never knew my heart. No man knows my history. I cannot tell it: I shall never undertake it. I don't blame any one for not believing my history. If I had not experienced what I have, I would not have believed it myself. I never did harm any man since I was born in the world. My voice is always for peace."

!!!!!! NEW MOON !!!!!!

I got to go to the midnight showing of New Moon last night (or it was officially this morning:) with my mom and a few of her friends!!! We arrived at the theater at 6:30 and waited in line in the lobby with about 200 other people for a little over an hour. Me, my mom, and Mindee were smart and we brought camp chairs so we didn't have to sit on the floor:) All of the other people were soooooo annoyed they didn't think of it! Then, they moved all of us into the hallway, where we waited for 2 hours...Then, they moved all of us into the theaters! We were put in the second theater they filled and since there were only like 20 people in front of us, we got our choice of seats!!! By the time we were seated it was around 9:45 and there were over a thousand people in the lobby and outside!!! I felt so bad for the people outside, it was pouring down rain and cold:( Luckily we were smart and came early! We were in the theater waiting for a little over 2 hours and then the movie started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to admit that the movie was AMAZING!!! It was SOOOOOOO much better than Twilight! Edward and Jacob were fantastic, the Volturi (the bad guys) were deliciously evil, and they did a perfect balance of humor, action, and romance!!! (do you love all of my adjectives:) Bella even did better! I actually really didn't like her in Twilight, but she did very well this time around! Yes, there were some moments were I wish she did a better job of expressing herself but overall I enjoyed her! I also loved how they did the animation for the werewolves! They were exactly how I wanted them!!! Okay, so the best was when Jacob would take his shirt off (which he tends to do a lot:) My mom would scream at the top of her lungs "Ohhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! Jacob!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" And the same with Edward too, so that all of the teenage girls would start screaming! She loves doing that:)
I have to give a round of applause to the staff of the theater we were at...they made it so it was calm and orderly, so we were able to have a really fun night!!!!

Here's a fantastic Quote from the book!!!
"You're impossible. How can I put this so that you'll believe me? You're not asleep, and you're not dead. I'm here, and I love you. I have always loved you, and I will always love you. I was thinking of you, seeing your face in my mind, every second when I was away. When I told you I didn't want you, it was the blackest kind of blasphemy."

Sick

Im just going to start out by saying that I HATE BEING SICK!!!!
Okay! That made me feel better! So, since Monday, I have been miserable, stuck in bed, and wasnt able to eat anything... I had a fever, cough, cold, and to top it off there was this terrible migrain that would never go away! I couldnt even stand up long enough to take a shower until Wednesday afternoon! Well, luckily its over!!! Today Im still tired and have a light headache and cold...but I dont have a fever and I can stand! So, im considering today my recovery day!
The worst part is that I missed out on a lot of stuff this week too:(
They made THIS at Young Womens...Isnt it SOOOO cute!!! Thats the amazingness of our leaders! :)

Quote of the Day!

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden.
I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."
