How To Train Your Dragon!!!

I saw How To Train Your Dragon twice in the past week! Once with my buddies Toria, Lisha, and Topher (yes those are their nicknames not their real ones;) and a couple days later with my family and mindee and eddie. It is an AMAZING movie! It is hilarious, has a great plot, and the animation is spectacular! I would recomend it for anyone, kids or adults:) I also want to go see The Last Song...if anyone has already seen it can you comment and tell me how you liked it? Thanks!

Quotes Of The Day!

Thank you for nothing, you useless reptile. -Hiccup

Gobber: If you ever want to get out there to fight dragons... You need to stop all... this.
Hiccup: But... you just pointed to all of me.
Gobber: Yes... That's it... Stop being all of you!

The Maze Runner

Last week, my buddy Jesse forced me to read this book called The Maze Runner...he said it was ridiculously addicting and I just had to read it...Well he was totally right! I read it in 2 days, the beginning was just like any ol' book so I spent a day reading about the first 100 pages. The second day I got to the addicting part at when I usually go to bed and read it straight through the last 300 pages to the end! It was an amazing book but Iv got to say that it kinda freaked me out, I'm pretty sure I had a couple nightmares about it:) But it was because the author is so good at what he does, he described the creatures in this story so well that I have a terribly accurate image stuck in my brain...I bet that its his goal in life for people (that rarely have nightmares about books or movies) to have a nightmare about his writing! I never want to meet this guy though! The fact that his mind can make up this plot and creatures is disgusting, and although I'm glad he did because I love it, I'm completely scared of him! Again, it is an amazing book and I would recommend it to anyone, boys and girls, as long as you aren't deathly afraid of scary creatures:) Oh and if you have read The Hunger Games (another amazing book) you will definitely love this!!!
So for the Quote of the Day today I spent a long time deciding if I would put a couple really hilarious quotes or really serious plot changing quotes from the book...I went with the serious ones because those tell you a little tiny bit about the book!

Quotes of the Day!
"My name is Thomas, he thought
That...that was the only thing he could remember about his life....he didn't know where he came from, or how he'd gotten inside the dark lift, or who his parents were. He didn't even know his last name."

"The walls slammed shut behind him, the echo of its boom bouncing off the ivy-covered stone like mad laughter"

Im 14!!!

Yesterday was my 14th Birthday!!! I had a fantastic day! In the morning I came upstairs to a table full of presents, I got to open one which had an amazing shirt in it that I wore to church with the skirt that I had just finished making...After I unwrapped It my mom made me re wrap the box because she said the box balanced out the table perfectly;) When I got to church I had my Bishops interview...It was really fun. We talked about Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and Lord of the Rings most of the time:) My miamaids teacher brought in yummy cupcakes to class too:) After church I came home and I was surprised with 2 of my favorite families their for dinner, we had a mini thanksgiving meal and when we were about to start opening presents someone started feeling sick and actually ended up throwing up. So their family left pretty quickly...Present time! I got a bottle of vanilla scented lotion and bubble bath from Mindy B. A twix bar and an awesome necklace from Jesse he actually made the beads somehow from clay and baked them! A puzzle book, bubble wand, and twix bars from Paige. Some coupons from Lilly for a free spa day. Some super cool knee length socks from Sam and Sarah. A coupon from Mindee and Eddie promising that they will buy me the New Moon Collectors Edition when it comes out on DVD next week! And I got an SD card for my phone and an amazing turquoise purse from my parents! Right when I finished opening presents my best bud Victoria dropped by to give me a really cute cake and a bag full of candy;) Toria, her bro, and her mom stayed for cake! My cake was fantastic! My mom and Mindee V. made it...it was an ice cream cake with Oreo ice cream and chocolate/vanilla swirl cake with snicker bars on top! It was yummiful:) Well there is my day! I will post pictures later!

Apollo and his Awesomeness (and is that a word?)

Im still in my Percy Jackson phase;) So todays quote is from the book in the series that my mom is reading aloud to us! Apollo is one of my favorite characters (who couldnt love the Sun God?!?) but oh how I love Percy...
Quote of the Day

""I feel a haiku coming on." Apollo cleared his throat and held up one hand dramatically.

'Green grass breaks through snow
Artemis pleads for my help
I am so cool.'

"That last line was only four syllables," Artemis said.

Apollo frowned. "Was it?"

"Yes. What about, 'I am so big-headed'?"

"No, no, that's six syllables. Hmm." He started muttering to himself.

Zoe Nightshade turned to us. "Lord Apollo has been going through this haiku phase ever since he visited Japan. 'Tis not as bad as the time he visited Limerick. If I'd had to hear one more poem that started with, 'There was once a goddess from Sparta--"

"I've got it!" Apollo announced. "'I am so awesome'. That's five syllables!" He bowed, looking very pleased with himself. "

Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief!!!

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief came out on Thursday/Friday at Midnight!!! I went to the Midnight showing with 21 other people! 16 people from my church and 5 from school! It was ridiculous amounts of fun! We took up 3 rows and the other people in the theater probably wanted to murder us because we were so loud;)
I actually really liked the movie...it was nothing like the book, which was sad and good at the same time...if it had actually followed the book I would have been really nit picky and found a lot of bad things about it. But since it wasn't anything like the book I just watched it as a totally different thing and really enjoyed it! Percy and Poseidon are 2 of the most beautiful people on this Earth!!! I just want to look at them for forever! ;)

This is my favorite movie poster...its actually the same picture as the cover of the book except with Logan instead of a drawing:)

Here is our 3 main hero's!!! Percy (as Beautiful as always;), Annabeth, and Grover!

Here is Poseidon! I know this isn't a photo from the movie but they haven't released any of him yet sadly. Isn't he just delicious?:)

Here is another picture of Percy and Annabeth (I couldn't help myself) They are both beautiful!

Here is Grover! He was hilarious!!! I love him too!

Quote of the Day:

This quote is from the book not the movie but oh well

"Hades raised an eyebrow. When he sat forward in his throne, shadowy faces appeared in the folds of his black robes, faces of torment,as if the garment was stitched of trapped souls from the Fields of Punishment, trying to get out. The ADHD part of me wondered, off-task, whether the rest of his clothes were made the same way. What horrible things would you have to do in your life to get woven into Hades' underwear?"

Star Trek!

Sadly, I was sick on sunday:(
But, me and my mom watched the new Star Trek movie! My mom saw it several times in the theater but I had never seen it...I loved it!!! Its my new favorite movie! I didnt think I would like it, since I had never seen the original Star Trek series. But I did! I couldnt believe how quick they zoomed into the story at the beggining...in the first 5 minutes of the movie I yelped, laughed, and cried...So here is one of my favorite quotes from the movie! I was crying and laughing at the time...
Quote of the Day
George Kirk: What are we going to call him?
Winona Kirk: We could name him after your father.
George Kirk: Tiberius? You kidding me? No, that's the worst. Let's name him after your dad. Let's call him Jim.
